Sophie is going to be Snow White for Halloween.
We also have her a lamb costume just in case it’s freezing that night and too cold for her Snow White dress. I’m so excited!
We’re taking her downtown tonight, they’re having a Halloween parade and all the local businesses are doing trick or treat for the kids. I think she’ll have fun. :)

We took the crib down today!
And got my glider from my mom’s house, finally. Now Sophie has more room to crawl around and play. :)

Spent the day at my new friend's house.
It was wonderful! She lives pretty close to me and has 3 kids, and she used to be a lactation consultant (she’s the one who realized Sophie is tongue tied). We agree on pretty much EVERYTHING, from vaccines to circumcision to being vegetarian. It’s so nice to actually know someone in real life who has the same ideas as me. :D

For example, I delivered in Oklahoma, and they recently passed a law protecting doctors that choose not to tell their patients if their baby is going to have a birth defect. The idea of that is to prevent some women from getting an abortion.

I think Sophie just had a growth spurt.
She was eating a TON for about a week and now she looks a lot chubbier and bigger to me. :)

It's been a pretty good day!
Well, it started last night. My mom babysat Sophie and Bret took me out on a date night. He took me to Max and Erma’s, which is my favorite restaurant EVER and it’s almost an hour away, and then for a walk in the park at sunset. It was really nice to have a baby-free night (even though I feel kind of guilty saying that) and to reconnect with him a little bit. We’re getting there,...
