I found my birthing team. :)

Meeting with midwife #2 tonight.
I’ve been talking to her apprentice (we’re friends on Facebook) and I think this is going to be the team we choose. The midwife herself is named Debbie. She’s been doing this since the 70’s - and now she took on an apprentice because she feels like home birth is going to continue to grow and we desperately need more midwives. Out of 989 births, only 21 have transferred to...
Must... eat..
But all I want is a Subway breakfast English muffin. And the ladies who work there know me and they’ll make it for me any time of day. But Sophia is napping so I can’t go get it yet. But I’m soooo hungry.
That is all.

I am going to throw up.

We went and got Sophie's carseat checked.
It’s installed perfectly and she’s strapped in perfectly. Which I already knew but it’s nice to have the professional tell you. :)

My daughter is such a bookworm.
Just like her mommy. :)
She woke at about 7:30 this morning, which is SUPER early for her. After cuddling in bed for about half an hour, she decided it was time to get up, so we went in her room and she sat on my lap and made me read to her… For an hour. LOL! Then she started doing headstands. Or, more like trying to do somersaults. Maybe she’ll be a gymnast. :) Now she’s eating...

My poor baby.
Is constipated again. :(
Bret’s aunt babysat yesterday and even though I told her she still drinks formula she only gave her one bottle all day, and gave her grape koolaid the rest of the fucking day.
Now she’s having a meltdown trying to poop. :(
I hate babysitters.

Almost 7 weeks pregnant.
I already have this strange little bump. It’s not bloat, and it’s not my uterus yet.. it’s just a bump. Weird. Oh and my boobs are growing so fast, there’s no way I could have avoided the new stretch marks that are starting to show up. At this rate, they’ll be twice as big as last time. Hopefully this pregnancy ends up like the last one, and I only get stretch marks...
Is it normal not to trust anyone with your baby?
Even when they’re 14 months old? It’s to the point I can barely leave her to go to school because I only trust a few select people and I hate asking the same people to babysit all the time.
Bret asked his aunt to babysit tomorrow. She’s never babysat Sophie before and I’m so nervous. She watches his cousins but they’re crazy uncontrolled kids and they get screamed...

Met with a midwife today :)
Besides being super Christian-y, to the point I’m afraid to wear my pentacle necklace around her, she’s very nice. She’s got 10 years experience as a midwife plus 150 births she had to be there for before she could even apprentice.
The best part? Her hospital transfer rate is an amazing 2%, and her c-section rate is just 1%. ONE PERCENT. That’s awesome.
She has a...

The only thing that doesn't make me feel like...
So much for giving up soda. :/

Morning sickness has officially set in.
Everything I eat makes me feel sick today. :(
Went to Thunder Over Louisville last night.
Wayyy overdid it. My friend and I and our babies had to walk three miles to our car, carrying a cooler, pack and play, two diaper bags, and pulling the kiddos in a wagon. I’m so sore today. Plus we got majorly lost in Louisville. And had to sit in traffic for over an hour and then drive an hour home.
But the kids loved the fireworks! So it was worth it, sort of. At least it didn’t...

My boobs are huge.
I swear they’ve already grown almost an entire cup size. It’s going to be just like the last pregnancy - my boobs get disproportionately huge. Especially a week or two postpartum when the belly is gone but the boobs remain. -.- Haha, at least Bret’s happy about it? He keeps reminding me: “They’re getting huge!” LOL.
Oh and at 5 weeks pregnant I am somehow...

I pretty much just hate the world today.
Going to stay home with my baby girl and jam out to some music. The rest of the world can shove it up their asses.
Oh and also, my boobs are getting bigger already. Oww.

Lots to do today
Sophie slept horribly last night. I mean, she was up every hour or two, and refused to fall back asleep for at least 30 minutes each time. We quit buying formula and ran out yesterday, so she only got water last night and it was messing with her. She wasn’t crying or anything, just confused I think. She kept waiting for the formula and kept getting water instead, LOL! She’s nearly 14...

All week I've been eating like crazy...
But now today I’m barely hungry at all and keep getting nauseous. Blah!
Sweet :)
Meeting with one midwife next Monday, and one on Tuesday, and yet another is calling me back tomorrow to set up an appointment. :D I really like the two I’ve made appointments with so far. They are both really nice and we seem to agree wholeheartedly on everything. It’ll probably be one of those two that we choose. :)

Calling midwives!
They are all so nice. I can tell already that this pregnancy is going to be so much more peaceful with one of them caring for us. :) Lots of consultations ahead as we try to find the perfect midwife for us!

I am craving Papa John's pizza.
This is the third night this week I’ve convinced Bret to order it. LOL! I know it’s unhealthy, but wow it tastes so amazing for some reason.

LOL!
I told Sophie to go “So big!” (Arms up in the air) and she reached so far behind her head that she fell down on her butt. Good thing she was wearing a big ol’ cloth diaper! Hahaha she cracks me up. :D

Sophie is so smart.
I can tell her “Bring mommy your shoes!” and she will go get them, bring them back, and sit on my lap with her feet in the air trying to put them on. Or I can hand her something and say “Take this to daddy!” and she does. :D

I think we have a plan worked out for co-sleeping...
We will get a second queen-sized mattress and push it up against our first mattress so there’s no gaps (we currently only use a boxspring and mattress on the floor, no frame, so that if Sophie were to fall off it would only be a short fall). Currently, we sleep with Sophie by the wall, and me in the middle. When new baby comes, Bret and I will switch places and he will sleep next to Sophie....

Prenatal vitamins and Vitamin D.
So I’ve been taking prenatals every day, as well as a Vitamin D gummy every other day. After baby is born I’m thinking of upping the Vit. D to every day. I’ve heard some doctors are recommending breastfed infants be supplemented with Vit. D drops, and since I don’t want to do that, I’m just going to make sure I have plenty of it for myself and in my milk. Good plan? I...
Sophia just peed on the floor.
We were taking a shower together, like always, and afterwards she climbs out of the tub, walks into the hallway and pees. Then runs off all happy. Lol!
I've noticed something recently.
When I’m out with Sophie and I forget to wear my ring, I get a lot more stares and sympathetic and/or dirty looks. When I do wear my ring, I get a lot more “Oh she’s so cute!” and smiles. Hmmm?
