While Sophie naps, I’m curled up on the couch with a big bowl of ice cream and Ina May Gaskin’s Spiritual Midwifery. Oh, and I’m still in my underwear because it’s one of those lazy kinds of days. :)

I know it's crazy that I can feel baby this early,...
I was just laying in bed and all of a sudden, unmistakable fluttering. Actually it almost feels like she is rolling around in there, doing somersaults. :D According to the fast heart beat and that Chinese Gender Prediction thing, this baby is a girl! But who knows. This cat found the perfect hiding spot.
Somehow she can fit in between our mattresses and the wall. There’s just a tiny opening at the bottom where the edging around the wall prevents us from pushing box spring thing completely against the wall, but the actual mattress is against the wall. It creates this small cave thing I guess, and Maxi discovered it and has been hiding in there pretty much all night as far as I know.

Baby's heart rate!
Was 168 and very strong! No searching around for it, we could hear it the instant she put the doppler on my stomach.
I could feel baby fluttering around like crazy while we listened too! It was so cool. :’)
We are officially going with December 16 as EDD, even though my fundus measured at 10 weeks. It was a week behind with Sophie the entire pregnancy too so I’m not worried :)
Maxi is scared.
She’s taken refuge in our closet. Luckily she knows us, so she’ll come out to be petted if we talk to her. She’s just nervous about being in a new place. Sophie is over the moon about having her kitty cat! :)
About to go get our kitty!
And Bret’s little sister has decided she’s staying with us this weekend in case her cat misses her. :P
It’s a much better deal than if her dad had just gotten rid of her. Sophie seems excited, we told her we’re going to go get her Kitty :)

Peaceful bedtime :)
I love putting my daughter to sleep. I can’t imagine using harsh methods of sleep training or whatever to try and force her to sleep. Our routine (or lack thereof, since she goes to bed when she’s tired and not when the clock says she should) involves no crying and no force. Tonight was especially simple. Looks like we're getting a cat!
Bret’s little sister just texted asking if we’ll take her cat, Maxi. Apparently Bret’s dad has ordered that she get rid of it because she got into the kitchen and ate chocolate and broke something glass. So I told her we’d take her if he paid the $200 deposit for a pet that our apartment requires, and he agreed as long as we pay it back when we move out and get the deposit...

I SWEAR I felt flutters.

Monday is a very big day!
